Have fun with healthy recipes

When we are on annual leave, we all indulge a little bit too much. We take a break from our healthy routine thinking we will return to it once the summer holidays are over. Therefore, why not try to make a conscious effort with the family to be healthier during the summer. Whilst the kids are off, get them involved in cooking and have fun with healthy recipes. Therefore, try to swap unhealthy snacks such as crisps and sweets, for healthier options like fruit and vegetables.

Turn off your phone

When you are on annual leave with the family, it’s important to allow your brain to switch off from work. If you constantly check your phone when on holiday, remove all temptation and switch it off all together. It will give you quality time with your family. Furthermore, you will be able to properly relax and enjoy your holidays.

Walk everywhere

Walking is a fantastic way to stay healthy and fit. It is a fantastic way to explore new destinations in the UK and abroad. Where you can avoid getting public transport and opt to walk instead. You will be impressed by how much energy you burn walking everywhere and how much fitter you are.

Stay hydrated

Drinking enough water should be a top priority for your health during the summer holidays! It’s easy to forget about hydration when you are running around after the kids or lounging on a beach with a cocktail. However, it’s essential to consume lots of fluids when it is hot outside. Especially since you will be losing lots of fluid through sweat. Try to keep a water bottle with you at all times to remind you to drink and keep filling it up.
